Welcome! I’m Chris and I’m so glad you’re here.

I’m a lifelong baker and gardener and now a homesteader and mom who believes the best treats start long before the oven is turned on.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been baking. Some of my earliest memories are in the kitchen mixing, measuring, and creating something sweet alongside my mom to share with family and friends. At the same time, I’ve always loved gardening—watching tiny seeds grow into something beautiful and productive never gets old.

Today, my garden is bigger than ever, and alongside it I raise chickens and goats that provide us with an abundance of fresh eggs and milk. While that abundance is a blessing, it also comes with a challenge: figuring out how to use it all before it goes to waste.

That’s where The Harvested Crumb was born.

This is a place where gardening, homesteading, and baking come together. Here you’ll find recipes inspired by the harvest, ideas for using extra eggs and fresh milk, seasonal baking projects, and practical ways to turn homegrown ingredients into bakery-worthy treats.

I know firsthand how overwhelming a successful harvest can feel. One day you’re celebrating baskets of berries, armloads of zucchini, or dozens of fresh eggs. The next, you’re wondering what on earth you’re going to do with all of it.

My goal is to help you make the most of every harvest.

Whether you’re a homesteader, gardener, busy mom, or simply someone who loves baking from scratch, I hope you’ll find inspiration here. You’ll discover recipes that are approachable, beautiful, and designed to help you use what you grow while creating something your family will be excited to eat.

Most of all, I want to encourage you to embrace the imperfect. While I love bakery-style results and beautiful presentation, I’ve learned that the memories made around the table matter far more than a perfectly decorated dessert.

So pull up a chair, grab a mixing bowl, and let’s turn today’s harvest into something delicious.

Welcome to The Harvested Crumb.
